Shaw Trust is a charity organisation which supports individuals with complex needs into sustainable employment. We are working on a new contract in Haringey called ‘Thrive into work’ where we are supporting residents struggling with any mental or physical barriers get into work or retain a role, they are currently in. It is a voluntary service which residents engage in willingly with no sanctions imposed on their benefits if they wish to disengage or discontinue with our services. We implement a tailor-made journey to tend to the needs of each individual and work with them to get them into a role they enjoy and can work towards sustainability.
In 2024, we have been able to build some strong relationships with Tottenham Food Bank, ensuring we have a regular presence to be able to speak to members of the community in receipt of support from the Food Bank, to be able to provide additional employment support for those who are interested in signing up to the programme. This is something we have been developing on since Jan 2024.
In our time here thus far we have been able to successfully sign up 10 individuals. We are excited to continue working with the Tottenham Food Bank to provide added value to the community.
