Give Help

Volunteer

Our volunteers do their best work when they're making the most of their unique talents. So helping you find the role that suits you and your skills best is our goal.

Volunteering is more than delivering a task without payment. It’s about giving the gift of your time, talent and skills.  Tottenham Foodbank volunteers are the driving force behind our service, donating almost 7,000 hours in support of vulnerable neighbours between June 2020 and May 2023.

Volunteering with our Foodbank Team

We are looking for volunteers to help out at our food bank sessions. As a Food bank centre helper you will play a vital role giving direct support to people who use food banks, meeting and greeting people coming into the food bank, packing their food parcels, making them feel comfortable and providing further signposting support where appropriate.

Shifts are Monday 11:45am-2:15pm and Thursday 4:45pm-7:15pm at Tottenham Town Hall where the food bank is based. We require volunteers to support for a minimum of 1 shift per month and you also must be able to commit to volunteering for at least 3 consecutive months.

Please note that all centre volunteers must take part in our induction training before they are able to start in the food bank. All induction training takes place on a Saturday, lunch and refreshments are provided.
