Housing disrepair campaign: Where we are now

16th July 2024

Our commitment to addressing housing disrepair in Haringey remains a top priority. Our next focus is developing an effective campaign strategy, and we have been working hard to deepen our understanding of the housing challenges within the borough and the impact on those living in inadequate conditions.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve expanded our team with two new volunteers. Anushka, from Haringey Advice Partnership, has been pivotal in connecting us with local organisations and enhancing our insight into housing disrepair and its effects on residents. Natasha, who has a background in communications and marketing, brings valuable experience from her work on disrepair, damp, and mould strategies for Norwich City Council. She is currently helping us draft our campaign strategy document.

Looking ahead, we are planning an event at the end of the year to focus on the state of housing disrepair in the borough. This event will offer a platform for clients, partners, and ideally local decision-makers to discuss the urgent issues and explore potential solutions. We’re eager to engage with the community and foster meaningful conversations that drive change in housing conditions and hope this event can be a launching pad for that.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to advance our campaign to improve living conditions in Haringey.
